Exactly what is stated, fast light compensation, good resolution.

I was looking for a camera to fit into my RC Helicopter and this was exactly what I needed. The auto iris functions very well instantly shifting as you face the sun and turn away again in flight.
The low light level is similar to some stated 0.5 lux cameras, you may loose some colour in low light but it is still able to see quite well utilizing only the street lamps to light up an area.
Focus is from approx 12" to infinity, great for my application.
All in all it may be a little expensive but it has everything you need.
It's tiny sits on my thumb nail and I can still see my thumb nail around it.
Cables are long and should suffice for CCTV applications, it's not something you can hide in a clock radio but you could in a TV. The second half to this unit is the CCTV unit, which is encased in alloy, there is no heat dissipating from the unit and you could monitor your nanny by probably fitting it into a barbie doll without the risk of over heating.

I recommend this unit you wont e disapointed with it's performance.
