Overall this is a nice little camera

Unfortunately this camera doesn't appear to be 540TVL resolution as for the maximum resolution I'm being given is 640x480.

A few indicators suggest that this is actually a CMOS sensor rather than the stated CCD due to flickering, which is common with rolling shutters of CMOS sensors, and there are no blooming effects from any bright light sources, an effect I would expect to see with most CCD sensors.

Also the cable is a bit short and would be difficult to pass through masonary walls, therefore I would recommend installing an IP rated weatherproof box to feed the adaptor cable through and have the cameras cable sit inside the box.

Having said that, overall this is a nice little camera. It's a very attractive design that is not too intrusive. The aluminium body will ensure that the internal components are protected from the elements and will not rust or corrode, thus giving many years of service.

The night vision offers fair visiblity, but if you are using this on the first floor looking over an entrance, then it might be best to buy an additional IR illuminator that SecurityCamera2000 also offer on the site.

I've had the camera running continuously for nearly 3 months in the British climate, and so far all is good. The cameras built in server is also very stable, I've never had to reboot this camera as of yet and I have it uploading images to a website every few seconds, combined with motion dection emails.

All in all, for the price, it's not a bad buy. Expect to pay a least another £100 on top of this if you wish to buy a camera of similar design here in the UK.
