Home minister Ravi Naik inaugurated the CCTV system, Prison Management System PRISMS- III, at the Sada sub-jail enabling authorities to keep a check on activities.

As per the plan, 24 CCTV cameras have been installed in the prison that has a range of half kilometer. To ensure that no illegal activity is committed during the night, the CCTV cameras have been installed with night vision which will help keep vigil on the three-acre premises of Sada jail.

The CCTV system has the capacity to store video recording for up to 30 days. Naik said that they would also install surveillance cameras at the jail under construction at Colvale which is nearing completion.
