The blonde-haired woman stood at the machine in Chippenham, Wiltshire, for several minutes before launching the attack with her high-heeled shoe.

Surveillance footage of the attack on the Barclay's ATM has been released in attempt to identify the woman, who damaged the machine's screen and keypad in the frenzied attack.

This was a completely senseless and inane act which caused sufficient damage to make the machine unusable for other customers. Detective would like to hear from anyone who recognizes the woman shown in the surveillance footage or has any information in relation to this incident. It is not known what triggered the attack.
